Chutneys
Norfolk & Suffolk Speciality Foods makes a range of fruit chutneys inspired by the traditions of South Asia. These associate fruits and spices, blended to give rich and complex relishes that are delicious with both hot and cold dishes, whether drawn from the cuisines of England, Europe or the Orient.
All products in this range are made from the highest quality ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible, and without any colourings, artificial flavourings or preservatives.
They are completely vegetarian (suitable for a vegan diet), and contain no fats or oils, no nuts, and no added salt or salted ingredients at all.
We also make gluten-free chutneys.

Original Chutney
Lovely clean fresh citrus flavour. Excellent with white meats, or incorporated into a marinade for fish or chicken. -

Apricot Chutney
Mild, sweet and succulent, full of fruit, with a hint of spice at the end. Delicious with game and red meats, whether hot or cold. -
Ginger Chutney
With 18% fresh root ginger! Gives a warming tingle as you eat. Sublime in a buttery jacket potato, and really good in an Asian stir-fry. -
Garlic Chutney
Tastes just as it says on the label! Lovely as a dip with crisps or spicy maize tortillas. Also great with strong cheeses. -
Grain Brewery Chutney
A subtle blend of rich fruits and complex spicing, with a generous addition of Blackwood Stout from the Grain Brewery in Alburgh, South Norfolk (a traditional artisan black stout - 5% ABV)
Chutney suitable for diabetics has exactly the
same taste as the existing flavours but is prepared using
ingredients suitable for diabetics.
Simply look out for the labels with the pale stripe and Diabetic stamp.
All flavours are available in 200g & 400g jars.
How do you eat yours?
Everyone who eats at their local "Indian" is familiar with chutney on
poppadums, but chutneys are also delicious with curries made with meat,
fish or vegetables. Kedgeree eaten with chutney is improved beyond all
recognition.
Our chutneys improve any plate of cold meats such as beef, pork or ham. A spoonful of chutney stirred into your soup is sure to liven it up. And the simplest cheese sandwich or jacket potato becomes irresistible with the addition of some chutney.
